How do I register as a user on Berkleemusic?
Go to www.berkleemusic.com and click on the register tab at the top right of your screen. Enter your full name, a screen name (a nickname, like guitarman66), a valid email address, and a password you will remember. Then click the "Register me" button at the bottom of the page and you are on your way! You will be sent a confirmation email to the address you just entered. This email contains a link that you must click on to finish the registration process. After you click on this link, you will be sent to your own Berkleemusic "My Home" page. Congratulations, you're now a Berkleemusic member!
Can I opt out of emails if I am a student?
No, Students enrolled in a course or program with Berkleemusic.com must be opted in to receive all email communications. Most communication between Berkleemusic and it's student body is conducted in this manner.
The various emails keep students up to date on:
*Changes to existing courses and programs
*New courses and programs
*Special deals and offers from our industry partners only offered to our students!
*Other important announcementsIn order to ensure all students are kept up to date on the happenings of the online school, we need to be able to communicate through email.
How do I login?
Each time you visit our site, you must login to access your Berkleemusic member account. Go to www.berkleemusic.com and click on the login tab at the top right of your screen. Then enter your email address and password. Click the "Log in" button and you will logged into the site and directed to your "My Home" page.
I forgot my password, what do I do?
If you forget your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link on the login page. A new password will be generated and emailed to you. After logging into the site with this new password, you may change it to whatever you would like. Simply click the "My Password" link on the "My Home" page.
What is Berkleemusic Passport?
Passport is a membership that gives subscribers exclusive access to music industry jobs and gigs as well as other noteworthy and promotional benefits. A Passport membership is only $49 per year. For more information on what Passport has to offer, please go to www.berkleemusic.com/passport.
Are there any special features for Berklee College of Music Alumni?
Yes! All Berklee Alumni are entitled to a free Berkleemusic Passport membership. Please contact alumniaffairs@berklee.edu or call (617) 747-8956 to see how you can upgrade your account.
Additionally, all Berkleemusic directory listings are given a Berklee shield next to your name. This lets other users know that you are a Berklee Alumni.
What is the Berkleemusic Directory?
The Directory is a way for Berkleemusic members to search for other musicians. If you choose to list yourself, you can let other users know your contact information, upload a picture of yourself and let other users know all about you and your talents. To list yourself in the Directory, go to www.berkleemusic.com/register/about-membership.
How do I edit my listing in the Berkleemusic Directory?
Go to your "My Home" page and click on the "Edit My Directory Listing" to change your Directory listing at any time.
What if I do not want to be listed in the Directory?
You must select "Do not list me" either in the registration process or from you're My Home page. If you have already listed yourself, the only way to "de-list" yourself from the directory entirely is to edit your listing and unselect all the places you are listed.
What are the Berkleemusic Discussions?
The Discussions section of the site is a way for users to interact with each other on a message board format. We've divided it into different topics of interest where users can swap ideas about performance, production, writing, education, business and careers. There is also a real time chat feature that allows you to chat with users who are also online.
