Distorted bassist and their bass. 2 Weeks, 2 Days ago
Distortion effect is a major part of my bass playing, specially when writing bass instrumental compositions. Not trying to sound like a wanna be guitar player but as a bassist I enjoy the dynamics and tones etc, I wonder how many of you bass players out there are influence by this if I may call it "distorted behavior"

Hi, Up until a couple of years ago i hated distortion. I wanted my sound to be clean and punchy. But my drummer insisted i get a tube amp so, long story short, i got my Fathers old Fender Bassman and i love it for distortion. Real tube amp distortion is way cooler than an effects pedal distortion i think.
