15" or 17" laptop as "module" for my keyboard on gigs? 2 Years, 10 Months ago
I want to pair down lunky sound modules and get an Apple laptop to be my "sequencer" and "sound bank" loaded with Reason and Komplete 4. A slimmer system.

Does a 17" Macbook Pro look conspicuously "supersized" atop a
midi- controller (at a gig) or do people prefer the 15" size.
Does the bigger computer prove to be a hindrance on gigs?

How about the weight of either computer?
Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

right now im using a 15" unibody mbp. its perfect. i run ableton, reason, omnisphere and some NI instruments all at one time. (but make sure you arent sending midi to all instruments so you dont bog down your processor)

i have a nice fortress of boards so im a good 5 feet away from it at times and the size it fine. i have had a 17" in the past and its a bit big and awkward. if you are planning to do a lot of studio or desk work, get a nice 22" monitor.
