I'd like to say HellO to everyone out there in Berklee World... My name is Jeremy and I'm new at this online. I remember going to a workshop that was marketing this program and was thinking why would anyone want to do that however, it sounds interesting well 2 years later here I am. I am pursuing the professional Music Business program. Any helpful information would be grateful. I'd like to know has the networking really made a difference or is it all based on personality and how "aggressive one is".

I've had experiences in working with contracts, copyright and artist management, operations (classical side). I think its the piece of paper that helps. what are you view points and suggestions?

Any one whom has kind of had that path I'm "on" now which is starting from the ground up and hoping to really understand and market myself.

Hello, I am just starting the Professional Music Business Program myself. Over the last 2 years I have become heavily involved in trying to manager another artist, who is not at all interested in the business aspect. What I've learned is, I don't know nearly enough. I can't really discuss the main point of your post as I am new to this program as well. I have learned at lot of things the hard way and am more than willing to share this information. I am looking forward to this course and having a somewhat organized structure to learning and hopefully a place to get some answers.

I think you will love this program - I am halfway done with the Music Biz Professional Certificate (I have taken Entrepreneurship, Future of Music, and Publishing, and right now I am taking Legal Aspects), and the courses are excellent, as are the teachers. What course are you taking right now and who is your teacher?

My best advice - dive straight in and really immerse yourself into the courses. You can get by with just doing the necessary, but if you really participate in everything - read all the articles, not just the required texts, participate in chats, be involved in class discussion threads, do research, you will get a lot more out of it.

Try to get to know your fellow students, exchange info and experiences, and have fun!
