Help with a publishing and how to rerelease 6 Months ago
I have a client who has several songs from the late 50s and 60's 70's etc.... and he wants to rerelease all these songs he recorded while singing with various groups. We dont know who owns the rights to the master recordings, some of the recordings are with record companies that are out of business.. We want to know what is the proper channel to pay the record companies. I know how to do mechanicals with fox and what have you but I am not sure how to rerelease his own performances. Any help would be much appreciated!

you can whom owns the rights to song on Ascap's website. Once there on the top of the page it will say ACE Title Search click that. Then you can look up by song,artist. If you have any other questions e-mail me, I would be glad to help.
