I'm stumbled across this almost by accident and was very interested. I am debating on whether to take the Music Business Master certificate. I already attended the Trebas Institute in Toronto for Entertainment Management but now that I live in the US I'm managing a jazz band and looking to get on a tour as tour manager I want to make sure I know my stuff.

What is the scheduling like? Because I also work full time at a music store to make ends meet.

This is Kevin at Berkleemusic, I'm actually an online student advisor here. I happened to see your post on our discussion boards this morning, and thought I could help you get a good idea of how our online courses work.

It's great to hear that you are already involved in artist management and in additional education focused on a music entertainment career. I think most of our successful online students, are those that are making the career moves while they are getting an education.

Because the majority of our online students work full time, there is no required time that you have to worry about being online for class during the week. You can log in to your online course whenever and where you'd like, as long as you have an internet connection. Our flexible scheduling is also what makes it easy for our international students to join and learn effectively. Actually, we have about a 20% international student body online!

Hey I am currently enrolled in the master certificate for music business. Its great, I have only completed 2 courses but I have learned a lot, not to mention having a certificate from Berklee looks great on a resume. I would say go for it knowledge is power!

I am going to enroll for the Music Business at 30th June. What subjects have you completed? I am taking 2 subjects : Music Marketing 101 and Music Business. Yeah,,,,the purpose for me also want to gain some knowledge about the music industry. Hope to exchange opinion with you!

I'm in a similar situation. I'm deciding between a Berklee Certificate or just learning everything I can through books. What is your opinion? Anyone's opinion? Especially if you have taken the courses. Thanks!
