My name's Britani and I'm an 04 high school grad. I'm planning on taking the M.C. in Music Business at Berklee online just because I want to learn more about it, not to get me into the business. I know that knowledge is one thing but experiance in THE thing, just as it is with just about everything else. Personally I want to become a tour manager or something similar to it. It's my dream and has been for the last going on five years. When I was very little music and travelling quickly became my blood. It's something I crave like an addict would crave their addiction.

Because I have no "experiance" I can't find jobs, but then again I have no idea where to look for jobs like this? Where do I start does anyone know? If they do I'd very much apperciate knowledge.

I'm currently in Fort Worth, TX (originally from Arizona.) But I'm willing to move anywhere if that means that I'll have a job there.

The best way to get experiance is through an internship. This is also usually one of the only ways to "break into" a lot of the music industry's various jobs. You will most likely not be paid but you will gain the experiance you need to get the paying job in the future. Best of luck.

Okay here's some more questions....

I've moved back to the Phoenix area in Arizona because things didn't work out in Texas.

Now that I'm back in AZ I'm not too sure what they have here as far as music business goes. (I believe aside from radio there's nothing. but don't quote me on that.)

I've also been told that I should learn a trade such as a sound or lighting tech to help get my foot through the door then pursue the cert. that I want at Berklee while gaining experiance...

Anyone have suggestions on this or any other helpful things?
