TOPIC: Can you help me?

Can you help me? 1 Year, 7 Months ago
I'd LOVE to take some online classes or physically go there. But the cost is what's stopping me. I'm the 2nd oldest of 9 so there's no way my parents can help with the costs. Are there scholarships I could apply for to help offset the costs or that ppay for all of it? Thanks!

Kaila

Hi Kaila,

Thank you for your post. This is Liam McCormack, an online Student Advisor here at Berkleemusic. To clarify, I work only for Berkleemusic, Berklee's Online Extension School, so I can only advise on policies and resources with regard to the Online School, not the Berklee College of Music main campus.

With regard to your question, here is a look at Berkleemusic's Payment Options:

- If you plan to take an individual course, you must pay for the course in full before it begins.

- If you plan to take a Certificate Program with Berkleemusic, here are your payment options through Berkleemusic:
www.berkleemusic.com/school/schoolinfo/tuitionfees/

- In regard to our Financial Aid options - we currently do not work with federal financial aid at Berkleemusic. We work with a handful of credit based loan companies and the loan process for our Certificate Programs is: you apply for the company's continuing education loan through our site (links below), once you are approved by the loan company you pay your registration fee with Berkleemusic, once you are registered we send your loan company an enrollment verification form and they send us the funds then work out a payment plan with you.

(You can also fund individual courses through these loans as well)

To view our Financial Aid options, please visit this page:
www.berkleemusic.com/school/explore
and browse the links under the "Tuition Assistance" heading on the right hand side of the page.

*In regard to scholarship options, currently the only option we have is our Celebrity Scholarship. A student must be enrolled in a Berkleemusic Certificate Program and have taken at least one course within their program to be eligible for the Scholarship. The rest of the details can be viewed here:
www.berkleemusic.com/scholarship/

I hope this information is helpful to you. I have been assigned as your Advisor here at Berkleemusic so feel free to contact me with any further questions!

Best,

Liam McCormack
