protools 8 sound driver problem. 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
hello everyone. i just installed my protools 8 on my pc and other applications like nuendo, fl-studio even window media player do not work anymore. its like they cant work with the pt 8 sound driver. is there any thing i could do to make them work , cos i love pt 8 interface so much. thanks to all that would love to help me.
Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.

Hi Orianel,

Make sure you have the proper drivers installed in order to get sound routed through your interface.

archive.digidesign.com/download/audiodrivers/xp/

Any audio routed with your Pro Tools drivers will need to go through your interface. Have this selected as your playback device within the Control Panel under the sound settings and make sure you have a pair of speakers or headphones connected to the interface. A restart may be required but you should be all set after this.

in Nuendo:

go to: devices/vst setup/vst multitrack/ and change the driver in the box,(select digidesign)

in WM Player just play around with the options menu, and you'll find, (I don't remember since I switch on Mac )
