Does anybody think taking more than one course per semester is a good or bad idea? Or is more than one course too much to take on and try to complete in one semester..? Thanks

I'm Julia, advisor at Berkleemusic. I just saw your post.

Our courses are structured so you do not have to be at a specific location at a specific time to do your work. While they are rigorous and require you to keep up with your coursework and assignments, you get to choose where and when.

All of our courses are 12 weeks long, each week your instructor will post a new lesson and then an assignment which is due at the end of the week. You can log on and work on the material anytime within that week. It should take you approximately 5 to 8 hours per week, per course to complete the work, more or less time may be required based on your level of experience.

I limited myself to one course per semester because I work full time and my tuition reimbursement would only cover that much over the course of my certificate.

I felt many times that I could easily have handled a second course. I know a few people that were taking 2-3 at a time.

If you are working full day, 2 subjects could be a little stressing. It depends on how much time can you put into it, your level on the subjects and your daily obligations.. Lso, I've found that some subjects require more time dedication than others... Critical Listening comes to mind....
