How do I get the most out of my Berklee Hardware? 5 Months, 4 Weeks ago
I've been recording home studio style for many years. After I entered into Berklee I received all sorts of fun toys to play with. I have the Oxygen 8 keyboard and I purchased an audio interface. For recording software I have Reason, Logic Express and Garage Band 08. I was wondering what would be a helpful way to get the most out of my bedroom recordings. Maybe there is a site with some tips on home mixing and editing for vocals/guitar/whatever. Thanks!

I don't know a site but there are a couple of good books called: "Producing and Recording in the Home Studio" or "Sound FX"

Try www.soundonsound.com. Worked for me.

Hi, JJ Peterson here. In my opinion, you need to be able to gain adjust your mixes. What I suggest is to purchase the waves bunle, either Diamond or Mercury. The tools that the software has are very useful, and come with many necessary tools. The one that I use most is the L-3 Multi-maximizer, it has built in compression, and allows for maximim overall levels to be attained, JJ
