School News Getting Inside Harmony 1 Wins Best College Online Course for 2005 Award
UCEA (University Continuing Education Association) chose Berkleemusic's Getting Inside Harmony 1, by Michael Rendish, as the best online college course for 2005. This 12-week, online extension school course was judged on lesson content, assignments, student assessment, course layout, design, and the use of multi-media elements. It competed against courses from colleges and universities nationwide representing all disciplines, not just music. "Berkleemusic continues to set the standard for quality music education online," states Debbie Cavalier, Dean of Continuing Education at Berklee College of Music.
