$#13September 1, 2008Juan Carlos Casimiro has made successful achievements throughout his musical career. Casimiro is an inspiration to all who want to achieve goals in life.
Juan Carlos Casimiro was born in Madrid Spain (June 1961). Casimiro is a perfect example of how efforts, studies and determination successfully enhance a career. While working and studying electronics at the age of 17, Casimiro became inspired in music from a gypsy name Cartuto who played melodies on his guitar throughout Casimiro’s neighborhood in Spain.
The Real Conservatorio Superior de Música issued Casimiro the title of guitar teacher in 1991with honors in harmony and accompanied melody. He passed the corresponding public examination in 1992 and started work as Harmony and Composition Professor in the “Conservatorio Professional de Música” in Gijón Asturias, Spain. While combining his superior studies and composing activities he became a dedicated professor to his students.
Juan Carlos Casimiro currently holds title as Chief of Composition’s Department in Conservatorio Professional de Música in Gijón, Asturias, Spain. He organized and composed a musical theatre "El viento que nos lleva" with his friend Carlos Espina where he developed one unique language for Gaita or bagpipe. "El viento que nos lleva" consists of a symphony, big choir and Gaita soloist that tell a story about a legendary sailor in the Celtic world. The spectacular musical composition was performed May 30, 2007 by a well-known Bagpiper name Hevia in the “Teatro Jovellanos” de Gijón theater that accommodated the film Festival Internacional de cine de Gijón.
Casimiro also has attended Berklee College of Music in the past.
