Word & music by Bernadette Yao 2008. I wrote the lyrics while enrolled in the Lyric writing course. I thought the course was so helpful for me. I now actually listen to lyrics when I listen to a song. I have gotten so much help from all the classes I've taken here. I want to take more classes. So far, from what I've learned in just 3 classes, I am enjoying my song writing and recording process.

We both lived in separate parts of the country and never met, but were able to collaborate over the internet on our composition. This was so much fun!

Words by Hafiz Music by Bernadette Yao This is my final project from the class Producing Music with Reason. This was an amazing class! And what an incredible instrument/software Reason is!

I am a vocalist, singer/songwriter, producer, recording artist who sings in pop, jazz, folk, world and classical genres. I have completed a debut CD collection for a new label called Courtyard Music (LINK).

I work in TV production, and I produce music. In 2005, I released a CD titled “Radiance: Healing Music for Mind Body & Spirit” (Yao Music) which features vocal improvisation and multiple instruments. You can learn more by visiting www.BernadetteYao.com.

I studied voice, piano, guitar, composition and music production with various teachers and schools including Indiana University School of Music (Voice Performance major), and Berklee Music (Pro Tools 101, Producing Music with Reason, and Lyric Writing: Tools and Strategies). I received my Bachelor’s degree in Arts & Sciences from Indiana University.

My husband and I presently live outside of Boston with our 2 daughters (11 & 16), our Yorkshire Terrier, and cat.

I've enrolled in Lyric Writing: Tools & Strategies. I'm looking forward to another great class. This, I think, will be the most challenging class for me.

I am enrolled in Producing with Reason which begins today. And I previously finished the Pro Tools 101 course back in the fall of 2005. It's great to be back! I look forward to the next 12 weeks.
