A different twist on the jazz-rock genre. Driving grooves with the exploration of the diversity of the fretted and fretless electric bass.

Q:What are you working on now?
A:Currently working on a demo hoping to license or sell the material. Also doing session work for a number of local artists. I will soon be doing clinics and performing with 'Chop Shop Project' featuring Mikhal Caldwell and Charles Stuart. www.mikhalcaldwell.net

Q:What kind of people or opportunities are you hoping to find on Berkleemusic?
A:Hoping to market my material for commercial, tv or film projects. Also hoping to hear from like minded artists.

Q:Tell us about your act, music style, and brief history, including band members and what instruments they play.
A:Old School Fusion. It's what I love so it's what I do. I mainly play a fretless 5, but recently have aquired an Elrick Hybrid 5 fretted bass, which has inspired me to work on my slap and tap styles. I will be whipping up some demos as soon as the playing is up to snuff.

Q:What have been some important gigs or venues you've played?
A:My Pop group (Sinjon Smith)www.sinjonsmith.com has been playing all the top venues in the Detroit club scene. Hopefully a major record deal is close.

Hey All,
Well been busy working around town with Sinjon Smith, almost done with all the tracking for our first disk, seems a record deal is pending and hopefully it will be out before the Holidays. Also Chop Shop is just about done tracking for Paravision and hopefully it's only a couple of months from release, it will kick ass!! I'm also thrilled to have just aquired an Elrick Hybrid five string. Rob Elrick is a Berklee alumn and builds unreal instruments, this is a shred monster. Hoping to somehow aquire a fretless five to complete my arsenal. All of my instruments will now be equipped with Hipshot hardware and Bartolini pickups and electronics, I'm just now upgrading my Dean fretless five and expect it to be fantastic. I endorse these products and believe them to be the finest available.
Well if anyones in the Detroit area hope to see ya around.
Peace,
Eddie

By the way please check out Rich Appleman's books, I have been using them with my students with great success.
As always,
Peace,
Eddie
