Tom Snow
Songwriter Tom Snow has been recording albums and writing hits – on record and on radio -- for more than 25 years. He has twice been nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song from a Motion Picture: In 1984, for “Let's Hear It for the Boy,” from Footloose , and in 1990 for “After All,” from Chances Are . He has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards, for Song of the Year, for “Don't Know Much,” and for Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture, for Footloose. He won the Emmy in 1998 for Outstanding Main Title Theme, Music, for Fame-L.A.

Snow has released four solo albums, including most recently, Hungry Nights, in 1982. His scoring work has appeared in films including Chances Are, and on television programs, including Pee Wee's Playhouse, and he has added songs to numerous motion pictures, including Lion King II , Honey, I Shrunk The Kids , and About Last Night .

The biggest stars in the world have recorded Tom's songs, including Barbara Streisand, Christina Aguilera, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Cher, Tina Turner, Diana Ross, and Linda Ronstadt. And in 1986, Tom won the prestigious Robert J. Burton Award for BMI's Most Performed Country Song of the Year, for Dolly Parton's “Don't Call It Love.” And his hit songs have repeatedly been honored with BMI Citations of Achievement for their popularity, including “Love Sneaking Up On You,” recorded by Bonnie Raitt, “Don't Know Much,” recorded by Linda Ronstadt and Aaron Neville, and “He's So Shy,” recorded by The Pointer Sisters.

Tom's recent projects embrace the world of pop music and include a song on Joe Cocker's 2002 release, No Ordinary World, and songs on both Christina Aguilera's English and Spanish language albums, which achieved sales of nine million and three million albums, respectively. Tom graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Composition and received their Distinguished Alumnus Award in 2000.
