Suzanne Dean is an arranger, educator, composer, keyboardist, and vocalist. In addition to releasing two albums on Nova Records, she worked as an orchestrator on the television series Jake and the Fatman, and has taught at Berklee College of Music since 1997.
Suzanne released her first album on Nova Records in 1987 entitled Dreams Come True. Her second album was released in 1991 entitled I Wonder. These albums featured some of L.A.'s finest studio musicians, such as contemporary jazz greats John Patitucci, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Peter Erskine. These recordings received worldwide distribution and continue to receive airplay in the U.S., Europe, and Japan. The arrangements range from small jazz group to 32-piece orchestra, with very eclectic writing, ranging from acoustic jazz to fusion to orchestral music, combining a large string section with a small jazz group. In addition to composing and arranging most of the music on them, she also served as the keyboardist and vocalist on several of the tracks.
Currently, Suzanne is an associate professor at Berklee College of Music in the contemporary writing and production departments. She teaches Writing Skills; Arranging 1; Harmony 1 and 2; Artistry, Creativity and Inquiry; Music Application and Theory; and Music of Laurel Canyon and Influential 20th-Century Songwriters and Their Co-writers/Producers.
Suzanne holds an associate's degree in music from the University of Maine in Augusta, as well as a bachelor's of music in film scoring from Berklee College of Music. She also attended the master's program in music composition at California State College in Northridge, California.
Suzanne is a member of Broadcast Music Inc., and the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.
Sarah Brindell is an arranger, composer, producer, songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist. Her sophomore studio album Dreaming Shoes (Naya Records) will be released March 25, 2010. She is currently finishing up a master's degree in Music Education from Boston University, to be awarded in September 2010. Gail McArthur-Browne is an assistant professor in the Contemporary Writing and Production department at Berklee College of Music. She is a saxophonist, composer, and arranger originally from Glasgow, Scotland. She has performed with many great musicians, including Benny Carter, Gerry Mulligan, Grover Washington, Don Cherry, Jackie McLean, Antonio Sanchez, Christian McBride, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Maria Schneider, The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, Vital Information, Dave Weckl, and Horacio "El Negro" Hernandez.
McArthur-Browne has won many awards, including The Princes Trust Award, STUC James Milne Award, Scottish International Education Award, The Cross Trust Award, Mary Patton Rowan Award, and the Cosmopolitan Magazine and American Express Performing Arts Award. She has made several television appearances, including U.K. Channel 4 Television, "Down the Line," CNN's Berklee Special, WBZ4 News, and CN8 "Nitebeat." In 1999 and 2000, she was commissioned by the Scottish Arts Council and composed pieces for the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra.

Dan Moretti is a Professor in the Contemporary Writing and Production department at Berklee College of Music. He was awarded the 2006 Curriculum Development Award for the on-campus version of Style Writing. Dan is a saxophonist and flutist, composer, producer, and audio engineer. He has produced and recorded eleven CDs as a leader or co-leader that have been released throughout the world. His last four CDs have been in the top 40 charts in the States. Dan has toured throughout the United States, Europe, Russia, and India, performing as a leader and sideman. His influences, ranging from jazz and classical to funk and Latin jazz, come from his experience performing and recording with artists across the musical spectrum, including Aretha Franklin, The Temptations, Mike Stern, Dave Samuels, Dave Liebman, Marvin Stamm, and The Crusaders.
Jeff Perry is a professional educator, arranger, performer, and composer. He has arranged commercial jingles, as well as concert music for jazz ensembles and pop/rock groups. The Jeff Perry Quintet, an acoustic jazz group, features several of his arrangements on their recording Andersonville (1998). His rhythm section and horn arrangements also appear on Jes Perry's recording Clearing My Head (2002) and the Jeff Perry Quartet: Foundation (2003).
Jeff holds a bachelor's in arranging (with honors) from Berklee and a master's in jazz composition (with honors) from DePaul University. He has been on the Berklee faculty since 1997, and currently teaching arranging in the Contemporary Writing and Production department.
Bassist, arranger, and composer Mark Poniatowski is an assistant professor in the Contemporary Writing and Production department at Berklee College of Music. His extensive performing experience includes the Bruce Katz Band, Kenny Hadley Big Band, Soul Kitchen, Floyd Dixon, Junior Watson, Janiva Magness, and Kid Ramos. His performances throughout the United States and Europe include the Boston Globe Jazz Festival, Orange County Blues Festival, The River Festival, The Natt Jazz Festival in Norway, and at the Konzerthaus in Vienna, Austria. His recordings include Mississippi Moan, Something Like That, It's About the Blues, Radio Fusion Radio, and More Than Live. Poniatowski holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Berklee College of Music and a Master of Music from New England Conservatory.
Jeri Sykes is a composer, arranger, performer, and music educator. She has composed music and designed sound for theatre and film, and has written several works for performing ensembles at Berklee College of Music. Jeri is a founding member of Preoccupied Pipers, an avant-pop recording cooperative founded in 1992 at Timber Trout Studios, Oakland, California. Recordings include Emergency Third Rail Power Trip (1995), Jokes About the Medical Profession (2003), and The Trout Supershow (2005).
Jeri performs regularly in musical theatre, jazz groups, and classical ensembles, playing saxophone, clarinet, flute, and oboe. She arranged horns and played reeds for the 12-piece San Francisco Bay-area band Lawsuit from 1989-1996.
Jeri holds a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Davis. She is currently on the faculty of Berklee's Contemporary Writing and Production department.
