Jeanine Cowen has been involved with sound for games since the early 90s, having held positions on development teams at The Education Development Center, Inc., Turning Point Software and Turbine Entertainment, as well as several consulting positions. She has been engaged at all levels of sound development on wide ranging projects which include Hasbro's Mr. Potato Head, Microsoft's Fine Artist & Creative Writer, and Midway Games recent release of the MMORPG Lord of the Rings Online, Shadows of Angmar.
Jeanine has also worked as a composer, music producer, orchestrator, and conductor since 1986. She is able to create unique scores for each project and can be found conducting an orchestra, or working in the studio, or on location recording custom sounds and music. She has years of training in classical music, and extensive writing experience in jazz and contemporary music. Jeanine has worked on studio, television, and indie projects that have gone on to receive critical acclaim.
Jeanine trained at Northwestern University as a classical percussionist. She then graduated magna cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a dual degree in Film Scoring and Music Production & Engineering. She is currently the Assistant Vice President of Curriculum at Berklee College of Music.
Daniel Birczynski is currently the audio lead for the game developer 7 Studios (Activision Blizzard), based in Los Angeles. His experience in audio production for video games includes concept development, game design, sound design, music supervision, management, assets creation and implementation, and QA and testing. Birczynski has been involved in developing audio for most of the current game platforms, including Sony PS2, PS3, Microsoft XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS. His work as a sound designer includes titles such as The Sopranos: Road To Respect, Napoleon Dynamite, Fantastic 4: Rise of Silver Surfer, Space Camp, and Six Flags Fun Park.
Before working in the video game industry, Birczynski was involved in audio and music production for movies such as Scary Movie 3, The Proud Family, Date Movie, Relative Strangers, Caffeine, and Art School Confidential. He received his master's in music with honors from the Academy of Music in Krakow, Poland (1997), and a bachelor's in music synthesis, summa cum laude, from Berklee College of Music (2003). In addition to working in audio production, sound design, engineering, and programming, he is a classical percussionist and composer.
Composer/Producer Jack Wall has built a track record and an international reputation as an A-List composer and music producer in the interactive entertainment sector. He brings an unmatched depth of experience, credibility, and knowledge in the engineering and production of records, film soundtracks, and live recordings, working with mainstream artists and major label artists such as John Cale, David Byrne, and Patti Smith. His work spans full-length albums, live concert recordings, videogame soundtracks, film soundtracks, and other projects that demand an exacting ear and vast library of musical and technical knowledge and know-how.
Wall's current projects include the first blockbuster of 2010, Mass Effect 2, from BioWare and Electronic Arts. His career composing credits include Mass Effect, Jade Empire, Myst IV: Revelation, Myst III: Exile, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (cinematic music), Dungeon Siege II (promotional trailers), Unreal II, Rise of the Kasai, and Wrath Unleashed among others.
From 2005 to mid-2010, Wall traveled the world conducting the finest orchestras as co-creator, executive producer, and principal conductor of the concert series entitled Video Games Live, an immersive concert event featuring music from some of the most popular video games.
Wall is also currently the vice-chairman and co-founder of The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), a non-profit organization established to promote excellence in interactive audio by providing information, instruction, resources, guidance, and enlightenment not only to its members, but to publishers, developers, and listeners throughout the world.
Gina Zdanowicz has been a sound designer and composer since graduating from Berklee College of Music in 1994 with a degree in music synthesis. Soon after graduating, she began working on short films and television commercials.
In 2005, Zdanowicz focused her talents in the video game industry as a sound designer, composer, dialogue editor, and audio implementer. Her work can be heard on award winning AAA titles to casual games such as Bioshock2 (2KGames), CrimeCraft (Vogster Ent.), ESPN Arcade, B.E.T. games, and several Wii, DS, and iPhone games.
Zdanowicz has worked in-house for game developers as well as operating her own independent studio, Seriallab Studios. Recently, she has taken on the producer and game designer roles for several projects currently in production for the Playstation Network. Her varied experience in the game industry gives her in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the production cycle from start to finish, which allows her to greatly contribute to the overall process.
In addition to her work in the game industry, Zdanowicz continues to score independent films, which have won awards at film festivals throughout the world and have premiered on networks such as Comedy Central. She is also a Bronze member of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).
Keith Zizza has been a professional audio designer since 1991, and has worked for more than 13 years exclusively in audio for video games, most recently as Audio Director for SimCity Societies (EA), Caesar IV (VU Games), and Children of the Nile (Tilted Mill Entertainment). He is known for his work on the classic, multi-platinum selling City Building Series of games from Sierra, including Pharaoh, Caesar, Zeus, Cleopatra, and Poseidon. Zizza has worked on more than 25 AAA titles. He has written audio articles for Gamasutra.com, as well as contributed to developing game audio curriculum for The CDIA/Boston University and Berklee College of Music. Zizza is also a Gold member of the Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.).
