Certificate Programs Tuition and Fees
For exact tuition cost of a particular certificate program, please check the certificate program page in your my home area. The registration and technology fee is $150 per certificate program. To reserve your seat in a certificate program, submit this one time non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee of $150.
*Note: Registration and Technology fee is estimated and subject to change. The registration and technology fee can be applied towards the certificate program as long as you begin study within two terms. After this time, the fee will expire.
For Certificate Programs, we are offering two payment options, which are:
1. Full payment up front: For students who opt to pay the full amount up front, we are offering a savings of 10% on tuition as well as the ability to lock in the tuition rates which exist at the time of enrollment. In addition to tuition, a one-time registration and technology fee of $150 will be charged at the time of enrollment in the certificate program. Please see the course requirements for necessary books and materials. In some cases, students may be required to purchase course materials from one of our music industry partners. The prices charged will include an educational discount which we are pleased to offer our students.

2. Pay Per Term: For students opting to pay for each course at a time, the one-time $150 registration and technology fee will be due at the time of enrollment into the certificate program. Please see the course requirements for necessary books and materials. In some cases, students may be required to purchase course materials from one of our music industry partners. The prices charged will include an educational discount which we are pleased to offer our students.
Please note, by paying tuition promptly you will ensure enrollment in the course of your choice and timely delivery of all required course materials.

Changing from pay per term to full payment up front
Students can change the payment option from per term to full payment at any time during their first term by sending a request to the Continuing Education Registrar at registrar@berkleemusic.com The 10% discount will be deducted from any unpaid courses. It will not be applied to any courses already paid.
Changing from full payment up front to pay per term
Students wishing to change the payment option from full payment to per term need to do so prior to making making a payment towards tuition. Requests to change a payment option should be sent in writing to the Continuing Education Registrar at registrar@berkleemusic.com.
Tuition and Fees for Individual Credit and Non Credit Courses
Tuition for each course varies by the course type, length, and credit status. Tuition and fees for each course are listed in the course catalog. Many courses also have required texts which can be purchased online or at a local bookstore. Some courses require additional course materials which will be sent from Berkleemusic. The cost of these materials will be added to your tuition and fees during the registration process. In some cases, students may be required to purchase course materials from one of our music industry partners. The prices charged will include an educational discount which we are pleased to offer our students.
There is a general registration and technology fee of $49.95 for each and all instructor-led courses.
Tuition Policy
Berkleemusic reserves the right to raise tuition prices at any time. Should a student wish to transfer enrollment or make schedule changes after a tuition increase, the following policies will apply:
For Non Credit and Credit Courses
If a student transfers into a different course within the same term, the same course into a future term or a different course into a future term, the tuition charged would be the price that exists for the course at the time of the transfer. The student will be responsible for paying any additional tuition amounts that may be due prior to taking the course. Additional tuition may also be due should a student wish to transfer his or her enrollment into a different course than originally selected.
For Certificate Program Students
Pay in Full students will pay the tuition which was in effect at the time of enrollment. If a student who has paid in full changes programs, they will be charged the tuition in effect at the time of the change, less the tuition for any courses paid which are requirements or electives in both programs.
Pay Per Term students will be charged the tuition prices that exist for the course during the term the student actually enrolls. The student will be responsible for paying any additional tuition amounts that may be due prior to taking the course. Additional tuition may also be due if a student transfers enrollment into a different approved course or program, less the tuition for any paid required or elective courses that are in both programs.
Continuing Education Unit Fees
If you are taking a non-credit course and have elected to receive Continuing Education Units for the course, you will be charged a fee of $25 per course. The CEU fee will not be refunded if you withdraw from a course, but will be refunded if your course section is cancelled.
Payment
Classes fill on a first-come, first-served basis determined by receipt of payment. Berkleemusic accepts MasterCard, VISA, Discover, American Express, checks, money orders, and military and employer-tuition assistance.

Refunds, Transfers and Withdrawals
By enrolling, you accept responsibility for reading, understanding, and conforming to all Berkleemusic policies, procedures, and dates. For more information see Academic Policies.
Funds remaining on a partially paid order after the term has begun will be automatically transferred to the student's Berkleemusic account to be used for future courses.
