Called “a genuine country super act” by CMT News, Sugarland made a splash this summer with the No. 1 Album on the Billboard 200 and the No. 1 Hot Country Song (“All I Want to Do”). They’ve also received six Country Music Award nominations, including “Entertainer of the Year.” They’ve become not just the biggest band in Country music, but one of the biggest bands in the entire country.
Since the release of the gold-selling Love on the Inside in July, it’s been an intense—and amazing—experience for Sugarland touring band members (and Berkleemusic online students) Brandon Bush, Annie Clements, and Thad Beaty. They’ve been playing sold-out shows across the country and performing on national television—and the band’s success shows no signs of slowing.
“It’s been a crazy summer,” says keyboard player Brandon. “We’re playing songs that 600,000 people have bought, listened to, and experienced,” he continues. “And they sing along! To see that happen, from North Dakota to Massachusetts, in a few weeks, it’s amazing.”
“It’s simultaneously exhausting, overwhelming, and exciting,” adds Thad, guitar player and background vocalist.
