Berkleemusic Partners with Topspin to Provide Online Course on Effective Use of Topspin Direct-to-Fan Marketing PlatformOnline Course to Launch this WinterBerkleemusic and Topspin have partnered to develop an online course designed to teach artists, labels, and managers how to use the Topspin platform to market music and develop fan relationships. Online Music Marketing with Topspin will be available for the winter term, beginning on January 11th. In Online Music Marketing with Topspin, students will learn to market and promote their music using the Topspin direct-to-fan software. The course takes an in-depth look at the unique Topspin marketing, management and content distribution platform, and covers all aspects of the software including fan acquisition and relationship management tools, widget publishing, content management, packaging and promotion, and more. All lessons throughout the course are supported with a solid foundation of online and offline marketing techniques, including best practices with social media, branding considerations, tips on building and supporting a fan base, effective communication strategies, alternative revenue options, connecting with new media outlets, and integrating physical marketing into your overall campaign. All lessons are also supported with video tutorials on how to use Topspin, as well as interviews with industry experts. By the end of the course, students will have mastered the intricacies of the Topspin platform, and have a solid understanding of the online, offline, and community building marketing techniques essential to an effective music release.
